Fireside Chat with Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra

Join us for a fireside chat with Vinay Kwatra, Ambassador of India to the United States, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 4:15 p.m. at the Clayton University Center Boardroom 375.



Ambassador Kwatra will discuss U.S.-India relations and Lehigh University’s role in global engagement, offering insights into diplomacy, education, and international collaboration

This event is open to Lehigh faculty, staff, and students.



The conversation will be facilitated by Richard Verma ’90, former U.S. Ambassador to India and Lehigh’s inaugural President’s Distinguished Fellow.



This event is part of the LU/UN Partnership’s Ambassadorial Speaker Series. The LU/UN Partnership which provides opportunities for Lehigh students, faculty, and staff to engage directly with global leaders and United Nations initiatives.

Iacocca Leadership Talk: Transforming Education in Africa

Join Dr. Babs Omotowa, President of the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM), for a conversation on innovation, leadership, and the future of higher education in Africa.



This event will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, at 4:30 p.m. at HST 101, and is open to Lehigh faculty, staff, and students. Pre-registration is required; visit here to register.



It is part of the Iacocca Global Leaders Speaker Series, hosted by the Lee Iacocca Institute for Global Leadership.



NUTM is a new private university in Lagos that is quickly gaining recognition as a disruptor in African higher education, with a mission to develop the continent’s next generation of leaders in technology and management.



Its model—emphasizing employability, entrepreneurship, and real-world impact—has drawn global attention and parallels the success of India’s Ashoka University, a Lehigh partner institution. Dr. Omotowa will share insights on NUTM’s ambitious growth strategy.

ICAPE-OISS Graduate Coordinators Meeting

There have been many changes this year from the Department of State affecting our international students. For this reason, OISS will co-present with ICAPE this year. Understanding Experiences of International Women in STEM

Lehigh ADVANCE Center, together with Dr. Cheryl Matherly, VP of International Affairs invite you to a panel discussion on April 23 12-1:30 to widen the aperture on the experiences of Lehigh's internationally born/trained trainees and faculty in STEM fields, especially who are women identifying. The panel will consist of folks across an academic STEM career with grad student, postdoc and faculty discussants. RSVP by April 18.
